Academy Proper
No New Posts Front Gates
Two entryways. The outer gate sports two pillars with period lanterns and a swirling design in the iron circulines. The inner gate is protective and solid stone, but just as decorative. Carved cherubs and devils decorate the sloping roof.

The fourth and fifth floor. Double-doors with stained glass windows lead to classrooms. The eleventh and twelfth graders take their classes here. The view from these rooms is breathtaking and makes studying difficult at times.

A solid stretch of rooftop meant to be walked upon. One can view the entire grounds and part of the city from this vantage. Enormous pillars rise from the four corners of the roof, each one with its own gargoyle.

Brackish water flows beneath this time-worn edifice. It connects the school proper to the gymnasium building and grounds beyond. Students may paddle a boat beneath this stately walk-way, or stand and dream by its windows.

Academy Grounds
No New Posts Gymnasium
Rounder, two story partner to the stone mansion. The lower level deals with the contact sports: basketball, etc, with a playing field for track and football. The upper hall holds classes in fencing, dance, and other less rough sports. The rooms are well lit, more modern than the main school building.

No New Posts The Chapel
Once, Oscar Wilde Academy was St. Peter Academy for Boys, with quaint religious ceremonies as part of education. This gorgeous chapel stands empty half the time. The statues and paintings themselves are worth viewing. One may feel trapped by the charming angel cherubs and old fashioned decor.

Half acre of gorgeous and enormous trees. Groups of students congregate among the clearings and copses to discuss, enjoy each other's company, or perhaps sneak a cigarette or caress. Further forest and hills spread beyond the fenced in grounds.

No New Posts The Old Building
To the west, buried in the trees, vines crawl over an abandoned building. Broken windows leer like teeth and dust coats the place. The administration has yet to redo this building. A padlock keeps it shut, but students have been known to sneak in from a side entrance. Old desks, school supplies, boxes and old discards stand in precarious clusters. It's a creepy sight in the dark.

No New Posts Teacher Apartments
Three stories of cheap, but spacious apartments on the Oscar Wilde grounds. Teachers may stay here or live elsewhere in town or nearby. The library is within a dozen steps of this building. It was used by the former school's faculty and has many comforts for those who wish to stay there.

Fell Glen City
No New Posts Club Skyscape
Garish red-brick building. This former bakery warehouse now sports a bar, dance floor, and more bright rainbow-colored glow sticks, lights, and other decor than one can safely look at. It's a gay club and a bright atmosphere. It also qualifies as a restaurant, so young people can be admitted. They do check ID for the alcohol.

Cozy nook of a store with a Jack Skellington sticker printed across the door. Video games, science fiction novels and DvDs layer this rather cramped store. Kids are often found here because of the low prices and ambiance.

Long stretch of chain stores, such as Target, Best Buy, RadioShack and GameStop, along with other brand name places. This is a new addition in the last decade. A movie theater, Rockwell Theater, draws a lot of youths to the strip mall.

Simple and clean set of houses. These charming, old fashioned farmhouse types often have a barn, or large yardspace devoted to horses or chickens. This old world america image jars with the slick techno upbeat of downtown.

No New Posts Downtown Fell Glen
Once as quaint as the suburbs. The last decade transformed it into a well-lit den of shops, businesses, and nightlife. Well to do bankers and other professionals had a hand in tilting it this way. Youths from the public school or the private academy mix and mingle for nights on the town.

No New Posts Lockwood Theater
Play house and art exhibit owned by a rich alumni of Oscar Wilde. He allows students of that school to work with their creative visions with a real stage and patrons. It's often packed with the more artsy and intellectual students and adults in the city. The seats roll back in plush comfort in a bowl shaped arc around the stage.

Charming old fashioned shops and parks near the suburb locations. The people here tend to glare at the androgynous modern youth who frequent the city these days. A few of them even chase such people out of their gift shop or small restaurant.
